Take a walk on the wild side, Melli... she thought, pumping herself up on the mirror in the girl's comfort room before Math. She had made a decision the night before... the decision that might ultimately change her life. Or, at least, add a few twists and turns. Basically, Melli has decided that this was the year -- this was the year she would tell her tall British best friend that she liked him. She had agonized over her feelings for the past term, wondering if this was really it, and wondering if she should really destroy such a good friendship with these kinds of feelings. After all, it's not as if she knew how to be 'a couple' with anyone... her past relationships have all tanked and burned.

But now... she had decided. Her feelings for Seb was so clear and happy and bright she could almost ensure a future for them -- which is freaky in itself, but true. Not that she was going to share it to the guy himself, no reason to freak him out as well. Melissande looked at herself in the mirror, her hair straight and flowing down to her shoulders, and nodded. This is it... now to find the guy in question.

Melli gathered her stuff and walked out, then her eyes nearly popped out of her head when the first person she immediately saw was Seb himself.

“Melli!” he called, a charming smile playing on his lips as he walked to her. “I was just thinking about you, love. What are you doing here? Escaping a boring class just like I am doing?”

"I-I-I..." Speak, you darn girl! she thought to herself, her heart pumping and her mouth not seeming to be able to form anything more than... well, stutter. She had psyched herself up, but really when it came to the sticking point all of the courage went away, and his accent made her mush all over again.

Her mouth was opening and closing, and Melli was pretty sure she was doing a damn good immitation of a goldfish right then. "Yeah..." she answered lamely, not knowing what exactly she said yeah to.
